Our C.N.A. training course will provide you with the skills and confidence that you need to join the expanding workforce of healthcare employees. Nursing assistants are highly recruited to work in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living centers, group homes, and home health. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Nurse Aide (NA), is a person who assists individuals with healthcare needs during activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide bedside care—including basic nursing procedures—all under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The Nursing Assistant is an important member of the health care team who often holds a high level of experience and ability. The nursing assistant must not only be very skilled in the actual procedures being performed but must also be able to observe a patient's condition and report that information back to the nurse. Due to other responsibilities, the nurse cannot spend large amounts of time in the room with the patient so the nurse assistant is often referred to as the nurse's "eyes and ears". State-approved training programs, such as Aventure’s, must be a minimum of 75 hours and include 30 hours of supervised clinical training. Aides who complete the program are known as certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and are placed on the State registry of nursing aides.
